1. What is a Boomplay Subscription?

By subscribing to any of our plans, you become a VIP member of Boomplay and this allows you to stream content without ads and to download unlimited songs and videos to play offline (play without using an internet connection). Original downloads require data. However, subsequent plays will not require data.

Downloaded songs are located in the Downloads section of the 'Library' page in the app. Likewise, downloaded videos are located in the Videos section of the 'Library' page.

Subscription Download songs and videos are only available for the duration of your subscription plan. Once the subscription expires, you will not be able to play these content until your Boomplay subscription is renewed.

2. What is the difference between Google Play Monthly Subscription and Boomplay Subscription?

With Google Play Monthly Subscription, you can directly pay from your bank card and renewal is automatic unless canceled on Google Play. The first month will be FREE when you subscribe to our plan using this option.

With Boomplay Subscription, you would be subscribing using your Boomcoins. If you do not have enough Boomcoins, you would need to recharge. The Boomplay subscription option does not renew automatically.

3. What should I do when my Google Play subscription fails to renew automatically after my payment?

If the fee from Google Play has already been deducted successfully, please send an email to support.boomplay@transsnet.com with your Boom ID and a screenshot of the debit advice/proof of payment receipt from Google Play.

4. What is the difference between Streaming and Download?

Streaming is when you listen to music/videos on Boomplay using your internet connection.

Download comes in two options. The free download which does not require a Boomplay Subscription and The VIP download which requires an active Boomplay subscription. Once downloaded, you can listen to the music/videos offline without incurring any additional data charges as long as your Boomplay subscription is active/valid.

5. Where do I find my downloaded music/videos?

Navigate to 'Library.' You will find all your downloaded music/videos grouped in different tabs named Songs, Videos & Downloads. This section only includes your Subscription Downloads and purchased music/videos from Boomplay.

6. How can I create a playlist?

Simply open the application, navigate to 'Library - Playlists', tap '+ New Playlist', input title, tap 'OK’ and then 'Add Music' to add your intended songs. Once all the tracks are added, drag and drop to order the tracks on the playlists.

7. What is the difference between Recharge and Subscribe?

Recharge means to buy Boomcoins which in-turn is used to subscribe. The prices of coins differ in different countries.

Subscribe is to become a VIP of Boomplay, which allows you to;

  • Stream unlimited music, videos, and other audio content.
  • Download unlimited music and videos to play offline (save on your mobile data).
  • Unlock premium content & giveaways.
  • Stream music without ads.

8. How can I create an account on the app?

Simply open the application, tap 'Menu' in the top left corner, tap the 'Login' icon and then 'New Here? Sign up', select your country from the drop-down menu, input your mobile number and tap 'Get Code, you will receive a verification code via SMS which should be used to complete the process. (Ensure DND is not enabled on your line so as to receive the SMS).

Alternatively, you can also create an account with Facebook, Twitter or Google.

9.  Why are there Verified accounts & what type of accounts can be verified?

Having a verified account means that Boomplay has confirmed the authenticity of the account. A “Verified” badge will appear next to the account’s profile picture once it’s verified.

Verified accounts are available to all artists whose content is on Boomplay, individuals like public figures, celebrities and organizations like well-known brands. This is to ensure that Boomplay users can easily find the authentic people and brands they want to follow.
